Free Standing Wall & Patio Extension

Project Overview

Description: Patio Extention and Free Standing Wall Build
Cost: $12,000 – $15,000
Time to Build: 1 Week
Neighborhood: Awbrey Butte off Archie Briggs Rd. in Bend, Oregon
Date: 2014

Project Details

The client wanted the existing patio extended, high spots from tree roots repaired, and a wall built for privacy and continuity. They also wanted their hot-tub better incorporated into the back yard.

  • Paver patio: we excavated and extended the current patio using Vista pavers in Walnut blend.
  • Freestanding Wall: we built about 30 linear feet of freestanding wall using “Chateau wall” (made by Western Interlock) blocks in a walnut blend to enclose the new patio and add a sense of privacy and security. We were concerned that the back of the curved wall would have unattractive gaps but the end product came out looking fantastic.
  • Hot-tub: A concrete hot tub pad was poured and all electrical was extended (we always recommend pouring a pad vs setting your spa on the pavers).
